Sunday, October 25, 2009 5:29:00 PM Don't have much time to write, but... Friday, October 9, 2009 12:58:00 PM Long time no see (and this could be the title for many of the topics here) So... Ever since I wrote here the last, nothing really happened.
I'm not being sarcastic, but you all know, September sucks, school year's beggining sucks, everything passes you by in a hurry, and you just don't care, because you keep going, and school keeps going, and you do absolutely nothing, you don't study, you don't read, you hardly do any homework and then: BANG. Those mistakes go stalking you for the rest of the school year. And me... I'm still in the phase I can avoid it. Not that I'm doing anything about it. :D Last Wednesday I went to the theatre to watch an old horror movie. Black Cat (1981, if I'm not mistaken). Really cool. A great comedy. The cat, just chasing everyone, and then *scratch* they all end up dead. It was a lot of fun. Today I'm gonna watch The Pit and the Pendulum. All these movies have been inspired by dear Edgar Allan Poe's stories. He's a great writer. Maybe I should leave in here something written by him to honour the memory of his death aniversary (7th October). Taken from http://www.poetry-archive.com/, I present you with one of my favourite poems by Edgar Allan Poe. A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM by: Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) Take this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow-- You are not wrong, who deem That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand-- How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep--while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream?
